Charles Band is still going strong, producing new films and the latest production is Models vs Werewolves, directed by Danny Draven. Fans of Full Moon's campy horror films can rejoice as Models vs Werewolves is coming to Blu-ray!
Synopsis: Five young models (Hannah Hueston, Sarah Moliski, Alexa Reddy, Dee Wallace, and Bella Mraz) go to an Airbnb in the woods for a full moon that comes once every five hundred years. What starts off as the perfect girl's trip quickly becomes a nightmare as a pack of ancient werewolves are awoken by the new moon.
Going into a Full Moon Feature, you should know what you're getting. The Full Moon horror films are campy, gory fun. Models vs Werewolves is a campy, fun little film that is perfect for a Halloween party or any watch party, for that matter. It has a nice blend of CGI and practical effects.
Models vs Werewolves has been transferred to Blu-ray in 1080p and is presented in 1.78:1 aspect ratio. The audio options are English Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0. Finally, there are English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.
The Blu-ray transfer of this film is crisp and clean. There are no signs of digital artifacts or audio anomalies. In addition to a nice Blu-ray transfer, there are bonus features of a Director's Commentary, a Trailer, a Behind the Scenes featurette and a Charles Band Cast Screening Intro.
Now, no one is ever going to claim Models vs Werewolves to be a great film; it's not! But it is a fun film and this Blu-ray feature is the perfect way to see this film. For me to see a film in HD on disc and get the bonuses of commentaries and featurettes. That just can't be beat!
So if you love Full Moon Features, you are really going to get a kick out of the campy goodness of Models vs Werewolves. But if you are looking for a true horror film, look somewhere else. This is for campy film lovers only! Head over to MVD Shop or Amazon and order your copy today.
